That also means scrapping the bubbling, peeling, or cracked paint and removal of any lead paint. Cleaning can be done through sandblasting or other effective methods depending on the situation. Once that is done, we will use a pressure washer to get the surface great, so the primer would be applied appropriately. We also track the weather to see the feasibility of the situation. Extra moisture within the air plays a significant role in how quickly the paint will dry. Though, if the temperatures are exceedingly dry and hot, it will also not be an ideal scenario as the surface temperature maybe even hotter than the air temperature. A new paint job on your home could vastly boost your curb appeal. You only get that first impression with your visitors once, so make it a lasting positive one! Not sure what color scheme to go with? Our team has an eye for design and can help you pick the colors that suit your tastes! Repainting your home can be a headache to take on by yourself, so let us do it for you! When Richland Painting does it, we avoid roller lap marks. When using rollers for large walls, if they are not done right, there is a chance of ending up with lap marks. We will overlap the places painted previously before the paint dries, so it looks better. We also make the edges as clear as possible. Even when using masking tape, a perfect edge may not be as easy as one thinks. We tend to wait until the paint dries and use a knife for cutting along the edge of the tape to pull it off. We also use cotton drop cloths to keep the floor as dry as possible. It is almost impossible for the floors to be free of dropping paint when the walls are being painted. A good cotton drop cloth or a canvas is the way we do it rather than plastic sheets. The paint drops may remain wet if they go on the plastic sheets, so it ends up being tracked to the other parts of the home, thereby beating the purpose. Cotton drop cloths are better because they stay in place, and they are not as slippery to use. We can also do all trim work, accent walls, and much more! A well-painted interior elevates a home and makes it feel more classy and stylish. Our lines are always clean and sharp, looking professional and upscale. Call us today for your free estimate!
Log Home

We provide various options for individuals who want to conduct log home staining, including latex and oil-based staining. There are also semi transparent acrylic and log home varnishes that you can choose from. The great thing with latex-based solid color staining is it is flexible and durable. You also get sufficient protection from UV radiation, and it is easy to apply. Due to its strength, you can also expect longevity and low maintenance requirements. For the oil-based options, you get wood-grain visibility, so there is an aesthetic appeal. It is also nonporous and affords longer open times. Thankfully most of the options we provide have high breathability, and they are low maintenance considering their low penetration levels. These are favorable as the logs will not be susceptible to infection or damage because of the sun's rays over time. That being said, it is important to do a regular bi-annual check of the log cabin during the spring and the fall after the winter and summer. These two seasons have extreme temperatures and are likely to cause significant wear to your stain. Water-based log stains would last between 3 and 5 years, while the oil-based stains can go up to seven years before there is a need to apply another coating. If you would like to go the extra mile for your logs without necessarily darkening them, we can apply another clear finish coating.
Allow us to help you pick the best stain according to your preference and needs and apply it the right way. We can refresh the stain so that your log cabin is once again protected from the elements and looking shiny again. We, of course, will prep your logs first before applying the stain and oil as well. Whether your home needs sandblasting, pressure washing, or sanding, we will get it ready for oil and stain so that it lasts for much longer! Call us today for a free estimate!

We found Richland Painting Company who were quick to help us out, they matched the color of the old fence and had it painted in no time. We were extremely happy with the result we got from their service.” - Steve G. |
“My wife and I own a log cabin in the woods that we use for holidays. The stain had worn over the years and had some mold growing on it that we needed to address. We called Richland Painting Company and got them to quote us on sanding and restaining the cabin. Their price was well below the others and they were quick to get the job done. They did an incredible job and the cabin looks great.” - Robert M. |

For example, with black, which is more of a neutral. It is great if you want to go modern, and textures will pop against the black background. Gray is also a possible way to go. It is versatile and gives an edgy yet modern appearance if you have the classic picket fence. Though, if you feel it should be informal, blue is a fun way to add some color to the yard. It will also complement the home if there are neutral shades present. It would also add some contrast and make the house stand out. Staining can be less expensive and easier to apply. Though it would be necessary to consider some things, such as choosing between oil-based and water-based stains. Water-based stains, for example, do not work for softwoods, but they are quick-drying solutions for hardwoods, so it is easy to clean. It is also resistant to mold, so the level of maintenance is reduced as you would not have to keep checking on the moisture penetration.
We do provide oil-based stains as well that are appropriate for the hardwoods and softwoods, however, they take longer to dry. Unfortunately, these stains are more vulnerable to mold, but they have deep penetration levels on the wood, so you are guaranteed better UV protection than water-based stains. You also need to consider the staining's opacity, which is the level up to which it covers the grain. If the stain happens to be very opaque, then it would be more effective at protecting the wood from harmful ultraviolet rays. You may want a transparent stain, though, if you want to depict the wood grain accent. And it will save you money from the cost of replacing it as well! We can take care of the painting for you and make sure that your fence looks stunning around your home. Just let us know what color you want, and we can handle it for you. Sand BlastingRemoving paint usually takes a long time, sandpaper and paint stripper is the usual tool of choice to get paint off that just won't budge, but thankfully we have access to something better. Sandblasting is one of the means of cleaning surfaces at high pressure. As professionals in the process, we have the understanding and expertise needed to advise on the right media depending on the job you need done. Sandblasting can be effective in several ways and can create smooth surfaces so we can proceed with the painting. It will smooth the surface, so the paint goes on without rough areas and appears good.
|
It is especially great if you happen to be planning to paint the area though it has had previous coats of paint. If they are not smoothened adequately, painting these surfaces will result in bumps. The rough spots on the surface will make it seem less professional even if the painting was done well. Our sandblasting services will also eliminate oil and contaminants on the surface. Businesses that deal in industrial or automotive tools will accumulate oil and require thorough cleaning to be done. If you go about this manually, it will be quite tough to remove oil that is stuck on there. That is especially if it has been accumulating there for a long time. That is why you need a team like ours to help make your surfaces good as new without worrying if you did it the right way. Our methods are also non-toxic, so it is quite safe. A lot of cleaning processes use a scorched earth policy of harsh chemicals, making the house or business unlivable for hours or days, but sandblasting does not mean you have to vacate the premises for extended periods. It is also great for industrial quality equipment as they can handle the high pressure of the blasting. You do not have to worry about equipment damage. We can use a sandblaster to help strip off any unwanted paint from a range of surfaces, reducing the labor time right down so we can get to painting even faster.
